Meg Borree—Guide

Meg Borree

This is Meg! She loves to be outside. She’s lived and explored all over. Meg grew up romping around the North woods of Wisconsin and is still growing up romping around the Pacific Northwest and Southern California. Her favorite place to be is near an Alpine lake in the Cascade or Olympic mountains with warm sun and cool water. Meg has a background in education and working with children. Her favorite part of taking people into the great outdoors is the chance to show them something new or teach them a fun fact! Meg has her WFR and Lifeguarding with CPR/AED certs!

Joel Ellis—Guide

Joel Ellis

Joel is a retired National Park Ranger. He likes to teach that a wilderness experience is hard to explain, but easy to have. Joel was raised in rural SC and Georgia where he built tiny log cabins and trapped small creatures. Tarzan and the Lone Ranger were his role models. (Yes, vines break.) After college, he took a summer job in Yellowstone National Park. Being a Park Ranger was less of a job title and more of a way of life. Joel lived 300 miles away from a road in Alaska, watched land form in Hawaii, and rode in trespass livestock round-ups in Big Bend, Texas. Since retirement, Joel has worked as a guide/teacher while traveling in the winter. Joel has his WFR and CPR/AED certs!
